Riverside Falconry offer a wide range of falconry experience's in our beautiful semi rural location. Available both indoors and outdoors from either Newburn or Whickham locations, the birds of prey handling experiences are suitable for visitors of all ages. Participants can get up close and personal with four of the centre's native and non-native hawks and owls. The session, lasting approximately one hour, can include a meeting with snakes, reptiles and insects. Visitors are welcome to snap as many shots as they wish. Customers dreaming of wandering around unspoilt nature can set off on a hawk walk along the banks of the Newburn Riverside, following the River Tyne. Birds of prey, seals and otters can be spotted along the way, and participants can snap as many photographs as they wish. They will also pass historical sites such as the battlefield of the 1640 Battle of Newburn and the birthplace of George Stephenson.
